I cut my teeth during the early 2000s backing up a number of original artists in and around London. In 2018 I joined the UK AOR band Dante Fox, and for 2026 I am playing with London progressive metal project Human Crushing Machine.
At heart I’m a rock player, with my core influences being Eddie Van Halen, Steve Lukather, John Petrucci, Marty Friedman, SRV, Slash and Jeff Beck. I also love playing classical and acoustic guitar when I get the chance.
STUDIO
My playing has appeared on Bibi Zhou’s Unlock (2014 MTV Award for Best Worldwide Act), and Estonian band Revolver’s album II which was critically acclaimed upon its release.
I’ve played numerous sessions for Green Room Productions (Hong Kong), Oceanlight Productions (LA) and Lost Boys Studio (Herts) among many others. I’ve collaborated with Jason Derulo, Sandy Rivera and Adam Buxton.
TUITION
I’ve taught guitar on and off since 1997, having taught thousands of students – the most well-known of whom is probably Sam Smith!

I’m now endorsing Schecter Guitars. Shown is my Sun Valley Super Shredder in black limba and wenge. The specs and vibe of these are just outrageous! I also love the SLS Elite, which I use in both 6 and 7-string configurations for more technical material.
VICTORY AMPLIFICATION
I’ve been a Victory artist since 2023. Although this flight-cased example doesn’t look it, these are tiny. The heads weigh 7-8kg and they sound like the Sun exploding. I use both the Kraken Mark II and Jack Mark II for the majority of my live work, along with the 2×12″ and 1×12″ cabs.
MARTIN GUITARS
I’m playing the wonderful OM-28 both live and in the studio. It has the perfect balance of warmth, touch sensitivity and punch for me; and seems to work for all styles!
MXR PEDALS
I’ve been using MXR pedals almost exclusively since 2010-ish, and endorsing them since 2020. For me they are simply the toughest and most vibrant-sounding pedals, and in conjunction with my RJM switcher they are completely transparent.
